Another rest day in BC, not much to report, just riding out the storm that's punishing the mountain. Down here, we've been pretty lucky with the weather - nice and warm and clear this morning, with the wind picking up a little bit this afternoon. Most exciting thing that we've done all day? Build a new toilet tent (as the other one was getting a wee bit full - no pun intended!). Cue some pretty heavy lifting of suitable rocks and our finest dry-stone walling skills to build a solid platform on which to mount the toilet tent.
Plans are coming together for the next foray up the hill - tactical meeting this morning resembling a military orders group saw to that. We're now all awaiting General Fabrizio to blow his whistle before we all charge 'over the top' to glory (or C2 anyway – In sha’Allah). Let's just hope that his peering into his crystal ball regarding the forthcoming weather predictions are accurate, otherwise we may have to fall back to the tried and tested method of reading tea leaves!=

Hello Jake
Loving your blog which Hugh told us about yesterday when he and Caroline dropped in for a cup of tea and to meet Ben – my baby!!!!! The photographs are AMAZING – congratulate your photographer!
Sorry to hear about the Italian skier – you wrote so well about it – so calmly but very sensitively.
Come home safely – need you to come and tell Ben all about it.
Much love
