Our team was supposed to go up the mountain and sleep at camp 1 today, but when we got up at 5.39am (our bags already having been packed the previous night), we found that it had been snowing overnight, and due to the avalanche risk, we decided not to risk it. The lower slopes of the Cezen avalanche regularly, and it is best to be well out of the way if the slopes are loaded with fresh snow. So, with our day's activity on hold, it was back to another exciting day in BC. Lots of playing cards in the communal dome tent, and finally (due to the sun being out) a chance to wash myself and some of my clothes. For this I was given 1 small bucket of hot water for my clothes, and another small bucket for myself. As strange as it may seem it was a absolute god-send to finally be able to have a wash, especially with (my meagre ration of) hot water! When the sun is out at BC it can get lovely and hot, and today was definitely a t-shirt and tanning day! Let's hope that tomorrow we'll be able to go up th hill and stay at camp 1.
